TRAUMA REBOOT
For 28 years, I’ve been practicing an ancient, shamanic healing modality called Soul Retrieval and Extraction. Back in the day, I’d mention what I do to people and they would look puzzled; not many had heard of shamanism in 1994 when I started offering it.
However, shamanic practices have gotten much more well known through the years, and people seek my help often when more traditional forms of psychotherapy and medication have only been able to take them so far. Shamanism is an extraordinary complement to psychotherapy, as well as other modalities like Reiki, acupuncture, meditation, herbs, chanting, hypnotherapy, tapping, massage, and more — and typically speeds the process of recovery by leaps and bounds.
ENERGY TRANSFORMS
The medium I use in my work is subtle energy, the “stuff” of our very essence. As science has now shown, energy is neither created nor destroyed, but it definitely can be transformed.
Shamanism is a practice of transformation. I am incredibly grateful and filled with awe, that this work is mine to do; It is filled with miraculous, mysterious shifts for those who receive it. I’ve witnessed the results in these almost three decades of private practice. Each session is unique, and exquisitely tailored to the recipient by forces that shamanism calls Spirit Guides. I work as a go-between of higher energies and intelligence, and healing for those in the earth realm.
The practice of Soul Retrieval and Extraction can be done to help children, teens, adults, and animals return to greater wholeness — and I have worked with all of these. It addresses the way that we earth creatures handle painful episodes that are too intense to fully, and consciously, manage. What happens is that a part of our conscious awareness splits off, becoming disconnected from our capacity to integrate the emotionally or physically painful experience. Psychologists call this occurrence “dissociation.”
DISCONNECTION FROM PAIN
In other words, we unconsciously push away the unmanageable pain to survive the experience. This goes way beyond escapism or denial; it’s more like permanently going numb in certain ways. But it doesn’t have to remain permanent. This is where a shamanic practitioner can reconnect this energy (in shamanic terms, the soul parts) so that it can integrate and thus transform trauma, behavioral patterns, depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, and physical conditions, into new awareness, experiences, personal and spiritual growth, and healing.
UNPRECEDENTED TRAUMA NOW
We are beings going through incredible trauma now - unprecedented as we keep hearing - all hitting at once, on so many global, economic, environmental, health, and political fronts. Life to me seems weird, as well as increasingly, horribly catastrophic. The situation is creating all sorts of anxiety, depression, and general uneasiness for many of us, including our pets and our children. The pandemic alone has, and still, continues to alter our lives and sense of well-being.
People who might still be struggling to heal trauma from childhood or adulthood, are dealing with that, as well as the collective trauma occurring now. Our pets absorb our discordant energy, too, and so many rescued animals are still carrying trauma from their personal histories. Bottom line, the need for shamanic practices like Soul Retrieval and Extraction is acute and more relevant than ever.
RECONNECTION IS IMPERATIVE
We need to reconnect energetically with our most whole and spiritually fueled consciousness now. We need to be attuned, aware, plugged in, and in the flow of Spirit’s ever-present presence and guidance. We need grace to navigate this world into a better state for the preservation of nature, humanity, and the entire kingdom of living beings. We need to shift energetically, to transform, and, most urgently, recreate something much, much better now.
Transformation must occur within each of us now. Transformation is already underway, certainly. Awakening is a widespread, global phenomenon. We start with what’s inside. How is your mind? Is it serving your heart or trying to run the show with its relentless chatter? Are you living in your heart or in your fear, judgement, self-protection, or resignation? We may want to escape, hide, eat a pint of ice cream, or veg out watching videos, and that is fine to do at times, for short breaks, but...
LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
